Moonlight Paddle - Itinerary
In the afternoon you will meet at Desert Adventures in Boulder City. Here at our retail location,
you will meet your guide and have time to buy any last minute items. Once you are checked in, and the group is gathered
in full, you will be transported to Lake Mead for a magical moonlit evening.
At the beach you will prepare your kayak for the leisurely journey to the Boulder Islands. As the sun sets low
in the sky you will paddle out into the glassy waters of Boulder Basin, where pink and purple hues blanket the horizon.
A mile later twilight is upon us, as we look for a landing point on a sandy bach or knoll.
Spread out your blanket for the evening, and bring some snacks to enjoy while gazing at the night sky. You will
watch as the moon rises over Fortification Hill, illuminating the warm waters. Take a dip in the lake and enjoy a
moonlit swim in the hot summer night. You will be amazed at the magic that can be found just minutes from Las Vegas.
Some couples bring a picnic basket filled with goodies (no alcohol, please), others bring their telescope to stargaze with the group.
Either way, it is an memorable evening filled with socializing and laughter.
Great for locals and tourists alike, these moonlight paddles offer an unforgettable experience. This trip is extremely popular in
the summer months and spaces sell out quickly, so reserve your kayak in advance.
